Experience. With over two decades of dedicated experience, I have nurtured a passion for music education across a wide spectrum of learners, from pre-primary to tertiary levels. My youngest students typically begin their musical journey at nearly 5 years old. Alongside teaching at my local studio and providing online instruction worldwide, I have also contributed significantly to music programs at numerous private and public schools throughout Sydney, where I've had the privilege of leading their educational initiatives.
Language. While all lessons are conducted in English, I am also proficient in French, Japanese, Indonesian, and Malaysian, and can provide assistance if you require instruction in any of these languages.
Qualifications. I have received comprehensive training in music and education from esteemed institutions in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Australia. My academic journey culminated in earning a Doctor of Musical Arts degree, equipping me to excel in teaching roles across universities, colleges, and conservatories. Beyond music, I have pursued specialized training in Adult Learning, Curriculum Design, and Online Learning and Teaching, empowering me to offer modern, technologically advanced instruction tailored to contemporary educational needs.
Professional. While I have extensive experience as a performing musician, teaching is my primary profession and passion. I am dedicated to continuously enhancing my skills as both a teacher and performer to ensure the utmost satisfaction for my students and the community.
Technology. My teaching studio uses many technologies to promote effective teaching and learning to students. For example, I can provide online lessons to students who do not live locally. In addition, the administration and scheduling of my studio is done electronically, so that you will be able to maintain your schedule, receive lesson reminders and pay for your lessons online. I am able to accept cash, credit and debit cards. Casual lessons available. Discounts for prepaid blocks of lessons.
